Operating benches outhire deal teams as Insight Partners loses three
Seven operating hires beat six deal-team hires in a 25-move week. Insight Partners lost three senior people, and the head of private equity at a big state pension crossed to a GP.
Private equity hired more people this week to fix companies than to buy them. Seven of the 25 senior moves we tracked were operating and portfolio roles, against six on investment teams, and the titles show where the money is going: a vice president of AI in H.I.G. Capital's operating partner group, a portfolio optimisation hire at Veritas, a data and analytics lead at Water Street, and Podium's former chief technology officer at JMI Equity.
